What is Phrip?

Phrip allows you to retrieve the source code for images posted on websites, forums, blogs e.t.c that are hosted on Phrip supported image hosts. This allows you to quickly and efficiently repost images without having to reupload the images.

1. Select Output Type (Required)

The first step to Phripping a source is to choose your desired output type. Three different output types are supported which include:

- Get codes for a Forum - This produces a BBCode output which is supported by most forum software e.g. PHPBB, VBulletin e.t.c.
- Get codes for Html Page - This produces a HTML output which is supported by websites and some forum/blog software.
- Get Just Links - This produces links only and does not generate the thumbnail code as in either of the above options

Next it is necessary to input the source of the images via one of the following two options:

2. Source URL

This is simply the URL of the source provided in the format http://URL. Please ensure that http:// is included when inputting the source URL as an output is not generated unless it is included.
Please note that some sources require you to login in order to access the images. If this is the case you will need to use the next method as the Source URL option only works for openly accessible non password protected pages.

2. Source HTML

The Source HTML involves copying the source of a page and pasting this source code into the text area on the Phrip site. In Internet Explorer this may be done via View > Source or alternatively Page > View Source (In IE7). If you are using Firefox it is possible to view the source of a page via View > Page Source or alternatively by pressing CTRL+U.
